Open Source VirtualBox Client with Remote Management

Installing on Red Hat EL, CentOS or Oracle EL

Note: perl-Gtk2 is no longer available in EPEL for Red Hat EL 8, CentOS 8 or Oracle EL 8 and onwards, so RemoteBox cannot be installed using this method.
These instructions describe installing the RemoteBox client and assume you have root privileges. VirtualBox must also be installed on the server and configured to accept connections from RemoteBox. Instructions for installing VirtualBox and configuring it as a service can be found in the RemoteBox manual.
Tarball Install
Before installing the dependencies, you need to ensure your system receives packages from the EPEL repository. Ensure the required dependencies are installed as follows:

        yum -y install perl-Gtk2 perl-SOAP-Lite perl-libwww-perl freerdp tigervnc
To launch RemoteBox, unpack the RemoteBox tarball and run the 'remotebox' executable.
