Installing RemoteBox on Mac OS XThese instructions describe installing the RemoteBox client and may require root privileges. VirtualBox must also be configured to accept connections from RemoteBox. For instructions, consult the RemoteBox manual.
Installing from TarballBefore installation, you must have XCode installed, complete with the command line tools. If it's not installed please download and install it either from the Apple Developer Website or from the Mac App Store.
You must also install a suitable X Server if you do not have one installed. It is recommended that you download and install XQuartz from the XQuartz Website
In addition to Xcode and XQuartz you should configure your system to use the MacPorts repository. Follow the instructions there to get MacPorts working. The remainder of these instructions assume you have a correct installation of Xcode, XQuartz and MacPorts.
Once MacPorts is configured, open a terminal and enter the following commands which will download, compile and install the required packages.
sudo port install perl5 p5-gtk2 p5-soap-lite freerdpUnpack the RemoteBox tarball and change into the RemoteBox-x.y directory. Important! You will need to modify the very first line in the remotebox file so that it uses the MacPorts implementation of Perl. Open the file in a text editor and replace:
